I was in Dalkey near Dublin last week and went for lunch, as I went to sit down in a booth I noticed a lady sitting there already. It turned out she was Maeve Binchy the novelist, who lived next door! how weird was that as I was in Dublin to discuss a book deal myself.

NEW WRITING GIG...HIGH SPIRIT MAGAZINE
I am now writing a regular column for `High Spirit` magazine; my first article is in September`s issue. It is available from all the usual outlets such as Superdrug, W.H.Smith and all good newsagents, it focuses on healthy living, celebrity profiles, fashion,travel and more. My new history book `A historie of London and Londoners` is going to be in the shops for Xmas; it is full of some fabulous trivia about London and historic Londoners. My publisher is The History Press.

THE BREAKTHROUGH BREAST CANCER CHARITY EVENT
I am helping a charity to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The event is being held at a venue in Dagenham Essex on the 20th of September. There will be lots of celebs there, writers, actors, musicians and more. The event is being organised by my friend April who is passionate about this charity, so I need all of you to support April and this brilliant charity, which does so much good work. I will be keeping you posted each month with news of this event, especially the autographs and donated items from the celebs, all of which you will be able to bid for. All my celebrity friends are working hard to get April as many autographs and donations for the auction. So a big thank you to them all and keep coming back here for updates to the September event.

I have only been in the Entertainment business since 1998, before that I was an Engineer, Insurance salesman, Financial advisor, Property developer and Publican.A lot of people ask me why I am so successful in a field that is so competitive, why have I found success and made a good living in a business like ours without any formal training? The answer is simple really, if the work isn`t there go and create it, do not confine yourself to just one direction. If a tree isn`t getting any water it sends it`s roots out to find it. You must do the same, don`t just sit and dream about ideas, go and sell them. You are not just an actor, presenter, writer or performer, you are many things and each needs to be nurtured and developed. I started out as an actor, then did presenting and now I write for a living. I still act and I still do lots of fun work in the film and television world, the writing gives me the means to the end. When I was growing up in a working class environment I was made to feel guilty about being talented, I grew up being embarrassed that I was good at creating ideas and going out into the world and achieving my dreams. We now live in a world where creative people are being given the opportunity to create the products of their talents, so don`t waste the opportunity, just go for it...... I found it easy to become an actor by drawing on my previous background and experiences, I have had the privilege of working on film sets with some of the worlds greatest talent and have studied them closely to see how they perform, I have also studied method acting and have had some challenging roles which are documented on my Acting page. I have exploited many aspects of the entertainment media, and these are documented on the other pages. I hope you find this website of interest.
