Alex Higgins the legendary snooker genius, and two times world champion, was finally laid to sleep in his native City of Belfast, on Aug 2nd 2010. I was invited to the funeral and wake by his children and next of kin Lauren and Jordan, and his ex-wife Lynn. It was a very big affair, and I know he would have been proud of the people of that city for turning out to give him such a great send off. It was one of the subjects I discussed with Alex when we attended the funeral of Paul Hunter, that was during the year I spent with Alex researching and writing his last autobiography. That book produced enough material for another one as well, and he was always threatening to launch that book, not a biography but a book telling some rarely known stories about Alex on the road. I have now decided to write that book after being approached by a major publisher, I have also been approached by a few big production companies to do a film, a play and a doco-drama based on my book. The legend of Alex won`t go away, his spirit and character will live on and quite rightly so.

THE NEW SNOOKER BOOK IS NOW IN THE SHOPS AND ON THE NET
I had a brilliant day out with Jimmy White in Epsom. We launched the `Little Book of Snooker` at the Waterstones book shop in the Ashley centre, all the royalties are going to provide free cancer information films, which I made of my cancer treatments. There are copies of the book in the shop that Jimmy and I have autographed. Every book that is sold allows me to donate 5 copies of the cancer information film to someone and their family, who is going through the cancer treatment of Radiotherapy or Chemotherapy. I will be appearing with other stars of stage, screen and sport around the country to raise funding to give away my film, I have had cancer 3 times. Go to my web site at www.look4lumps.com for more up to date information on cancer detection and advances.
I am doing lots of interviews for London and Nottingham based newspapers, magazines and web sites about the book. I am also now commissioned to write a two page column every month for a publishing group, they issue 300,000 high class magazines every month in Essex, London, Herts, Bucks, Jersey, Guernsey and Kent, with Surrey on-board in August. That is 32 magazines in total, with a readership estimated at over two million people. Look out for the `Life` magazines in all these counties or go to http://www.life-mags.com/to see the full list.
KILLER BABE....THE MOVIE
YOU COULD BE AT THE PREMIERE AND THE AFTER PARTY...READ ON
The film is now in the can and edited, I have a part in this gangster movie with all the usual suspects, Dave Courtney, Freddie Foreman, Howard Marks, Big Joe Egan and Fred Batt from `Most Haunted`. I also got Mikey Carroll a part where he was going to be killed by Alex Reid the Winner of CBB. Unfortunately Alex decided to dip out of his obligations and didn`t finish all his scenes, Mikey was then killed by boxing champion Robin Reid who is not a relative. The script had to be re-written and filming days re-sheduled, we all know who is responsible for this happening and it isn`t a good thing in the film industry to break your word. The director Liam Galvin wrote the scene specially for me, I am directing a porn movie and ......you`ll have to wait until it comes out on DVD on April 9th to find out and see what happens next, but I can tell you that it is very gory, and despite what the papers say about the scene with Alex Reid and Yvette Rowland; it isn`t a porn movie. The film will premiere on April 29th in London, if you`d like to come along and join us at the after party, you can meet all the attending cast and crew members. A SHORT BIOGRAPHY
I have only been in the Entertainment business since 1998, before that I was an Engineer, Insurance salesman, Financial Advisor, Property Developer and Publican.A lot of people ask me why I am so successful in a field that is so competitive, why have I found success and made a good living in a business like ours, without any formal training? The answer is simple really, if the work isn`t there iI go and create it, I do not confine myself to just one direction. If a tree isn`t getting any water it sends it`s roots out to find it. You must do the same if you want to progress in any business, don`t just sit and dream about ideas, go and sell them. You are not just an actor, presenter, writer or performer, you are many things and each needs to be nurtured and developed. I started out as an extra, then progressed into presenting and now I write for a living. I still act and I still do lots of fun work in the film and television world, the writing gives me the means to the end. When I was growing up in a working class environment I was made to feel guilty about being talented, I grew up being embarrassed that I was good at creating, ideas and wanting to go out into the world and achieve my dreams. We now live in a world where creative people are being given the opportunity to create the products of their talents, so don`t waste the opportunity, just go for it...... I found it easy to become an actor by drawing on my previous background and experiences, I have had the privilege of working on film sets with some of the worlds greatest talent and have studied them closely to see how they perform, I have also studied method acting and have had some challenging roles which are documented on my Acting Page. I have exploited many aspects of the entertainment media, and these are documented on the other pages. I hope you find this website of interest. Now go to the links on the left to see the other aspects of my career.
